Copywriting F.A.Q.s

How much does it cost?

Copywriting fees are determined on a per-project basis and are based on my fee schedule and your project’s complexity. Occasionally, projects are difficult to estimate, and an hourly fee is most appropriate.  Either way, you will be given a quote up front outlining the total costs and the estimated time to complete your project.

What’s your turnaround?

It all depends on my current work load and when you need the project completed.  It’s always best to contact me as soon as you have an inkling that you’ll need work completed so I can schedule it in.

What are your business terms?

First-time clients pay 50% upfront with the balance due upon completion. Established clients are generally billed at the end of the project for the entire fee but this may vary depending on project size.

What if I need a revision?

I do not charge for revisions provided they are requested within 14 days of receiving the draft copy and are not based on a change in context of the original assignment.

What background information do you need?

I like to review your current marketing materials, including your Web site and the sites of your primary competitors. I will need a description of your company, your product or service, your target audience, your unique selling point, and your objective.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. All correspondence can be done by telephone or email. If your project demands my presence, we can definitely arrange it. You will be required to pay for travel, lodging, my time, and related expenses.

How can I pay for your services?

Payment can be made by cheque or by credit card through PayPal.

Do I own all rights to the work?

Absolutely. Once you have paid the project fees in full, all rights for the copy revert to you. This means you can use and re-use it any way you see fit.
